Tell us a little bit about yourself

Hellooo I’m Evie, I’m 21 years old from Tweed Heads. I’ve almost finished my graphic design degree and love photography, the ocean, interior design, health and fitness!

How did you get into Photography?

There’s something about photography that I’ve always loved, I think it’s being able to capture a moment in time and all the feelings that come with it. When I was 15 I bought my first camera off gumtree and my friends and I would create mood boards for inspo and then spend literally the whole day taking photos. My favourite thing to do would be to come home and edit all the images. I love seeing the transformation a few simple edits can do to really enhance an image!

What inspires you when creating?

There’s so much inspiring content and work on Pinterest, it’s one of the places where I discovered that graphic design was what I wanted to pursue. Seeing campaign shoots from fashion brands has always inspired me so much too, even before social media. I used to love going through fashion magazines and seeing all the amazing photo shoots.

What is something powerful that you believe?

It’s going to sound a bit woo-woo, but I think when we put our energy and thoughts into something we really believe in and want- it’s bound to happen eventually. Theres so many experiences I have had that are unexplainable!

Also letting go of what-ifs/ what could’ve been and trusting that their are better things coming puts me at ease and really helps me from dwelling on the negatives.

Where is your happy place?

100% the beach and probably even the gym haha! A walk along Greenmount or sitting on a headland instantly puts me in a better mood and makes me feel so grateful.

What is your favourite way to express yourself?

My favourite ways to express myself is probably through the clothes I wear and the photos I take.

Tell us something that has made you smile recently

Being able to see my friends the other night made me smile so much, it made me realise just how important they are to me. And the sunsets lately! They have been unreal too.
